The state Department of Health (DOH) is requesting that home care and hospice agencies assign at least two individuals to certain roles in the Health Commerce System (HCS).
This is to ensure that the agency completes the COVID-19 surveys requested by DOH, which are required to be submitted by 1 p.m. each day. In addition, DOH wants this information so that it can contact these agency staff if needed.
All home care and hospice providers must assign at least two individuals for each of the following HCS roles:
- Administrator
- Data Reporter
- Director of Patient Services
- Emergency Response Coordinator
- HPN Coordinator
The daily COVID-19 survey is used to capture data necessary to help DOH make policy decisions, including the allocation of valuable resources.
