Capital Region Vaccination Developments for Patients and Staff

Situation Report | March 1, 2021

HCA, the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (HCP), and Leading Age New York (LANY) recently sent a survey to home care providers located in the counties served by the Capital Region Task Force to obtain data on the approximate number of homebound patients in eight counties that are seeking the COVID-19 vaccine.

The survey is at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/86K8MKV.

This data was requested by the Capital Region Task Force with whom HCA and the other Associations have been working closely to address the vaccine needs of home care staff and patients.

Agencies that have staff working in the Capital Region who want to receive the vaccine are urged to enter their contact information into the Albany County pre-registration site at https://alb.518c19.com. “The information entered on this form will be kept confidential and will only be used to connect you with where you can register to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in the future,” the site indicates. “We’ll send you email and/or text messages to keep you informed along the way.

Registering with this site is no guarantee that you will be able to obtain a vaccine; but, for those who register, the intent is to provide a notification when the vaccine is available.

Agencies serving the Capital Region are advised to go to capitalregionvax.org for lots of helpful information related to COVID-19 and vaccines in this area.
