In the May 2021 edition of HCA’s Capitol Report newsletter, we urge action on S.6640/A.7304, legislation to repeal the Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) Request for Offers (RFO) process that has given the state Department of Health unilateral authority to decide which LHCSAs can operate in New York State. We also highlight the ongoing effort of providers to vaccinate homebound New Yorkers, plus our annual award winners and a recent WROC-TV Channel 8 report examining New York’s home care workforce shortage.
