CHRC Fee Increases

Situation Report | June 22, 2020

The state Department of Health (DOH) has issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) announcing a fee increase in the Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) process.

Effective July 1, 2020, the fingerprinting processing fee will increase from $13.50 to $13.75 – a $0.25 increase. The last increase was in August 2019, from $12 to $13.50.

The DAL reminds agencies that “no provider shall seek, directly or indirectly, to obtain from a prospective employee, temporary employee or employee compensation in any form for the payment for the fee or any facility costs associated with obtaining the criminal history information check.”
