DOH Details 2020-21 State Budget Implementation plan and Other MLTC Updates

The state Department of Health (DOH) held its monthly Managed Care Policy and Planning meeting last week where DOH representatives provided an overview of the 2020-2021 enacted state budget and its implications for Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans and other Long Term Care (LTC) providers.

DOH provided guidance to Managed Care Plans and long term care providers on COVID-19 preparedness, along with Medicaid telehealth coverage. DOH also announced Medicaid savings reductions, including a delay in the April 22 and April 29 Medicaid payment cycles until May 2, along with other items previously reported to the membership related to state budget changes to the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) and the Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) request for proposal process.

Further details on each of these items can be reviewed in DOH’s slides on COVID-19 Response Update and 2020-21 Enacted Budget Overview.
