DOH Posts Uniform Tasking Tool RFI

Situation Report | May 17, 2021

The state Department of Health (DOH) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the authorized implementation of a uniform task-based assessment tool, uniform tasking tool solution which will be used to help standardize service utilization as part of an approved plan of care.

The tool, authorized in the 2020 state budget, would be used by Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), including Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans, as well as local Departments of Social Services (LDSS). Its use includes the hours of personal care services (PCS) and consumer directed personal assistance services (CDPAS) and other available community-based long-term care services.

Through this RFI, DOH seeks information from vendors and interested parties regarding commonly used and industry-accepted tasking tool solutions, and/or algorithms that use, or are capable of using, outputs from the inter-RAI Community Health Assessment (CHA) to help inform the plan of care that will be developed by an MCO or LDSS to meet a member’s needs.

The deadline for submissions is June 3, 2021, and the anticipated demonstration dates are July 19, 2021 to July 23, 2021.
