EEO-1 Report to Open April 26

Situation Report | April 5, 2021

On March 29, 2021, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced that the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection will open on April 26, 2021.

The deadline will be July 19, 2021. Due to pandemic impacts and the requirement for two years of EEO-1 data, EEOC is extending the data collection period from 10 to 12 weeks.

The EEO-1 Component 1 collects workforce data from employers with 100 or more employees (and federal contractors with 50 or more employees). EEOC will begin to formally notify EEO-1 filers via e-mail beginning March 29, 2021. Filers should begin preparing to submit data in anticipation of the April 26 opening of the data-collection period.

EEO-1 filers can visit https://EEOCdata.org for more information regarding updates on the data collection. When the collection opens, filing assistance resources will be available online at https://EEOCdata.org.
