HCA to Host Members-Only Home Care, Hospice, MLTC-focused Virtual Congressional Town Halls

Situation Report | June 29, 2020

HCA will host its first of several Congressional Virtual Town Halls beginning Tuesday, July 7.

The Virtual Town Halls are members-only and will take place for 30 minutes with providers’ and plans’ Congressional representatives. The Virtual Town Halls will focus solely on issues related to home care, hospice and managed long term care (MLTC).

Over the next two months, HCA members will be invited via e-mail to participate virtually with their member of Congress as these meetings are scheduled. For each meeting, HCA will reach out to member organizations located in each Congressional Representative’s district. Members who receive the notice are welcome to invite their staff.

Registration is required. Registrants can simply e-mail Alyssa Lovelace (alovelace@hcanys.org) with participants’ names and e-mail addresses.

Zoom information will be sent prior to the event. The following events are scheduled for Tuesday, July 7:

  • Anthony Brindisi (Utica and Binghamton regions): 10 a.m.
  • Joseph Morelle (Rochester region): 2 p.m.

Upcoming sessions in the works include:

  • Thomas Reed (western points of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes): TBD, rescheduled

To RSVP for these events — or if you have questions or concerns — please contact HCA’s Director for Public Policy and Advocacy Alyssa Lovelace at alovelace@hcanys.org.
