In a tradition at HCA’s Annual Conference, the HCA membership approved the reappointment of a slate of industry leaders and one new appointee to serve on HCA’s 29-member Board of Directors, the governing body which shapes the direction of HCA policy, education, advocacy and operational priorities.
The Board also welcomes a newly appointed Board Chair, Bridget Gallagher, Vice President at Americare, Inc., and thanks outgoing Chair Jane Shukitis for her incredible service. (See related story here.)
Gallagher has been an instrumental member of HCA’s Board, serving in various capacities from 2006 to 2015 and then again for reappointment in 2018. For three of those years (2012-2015) she led as Board Chair, including an extended appointment during a time of needed leadership continuity in the aftermath of major structural changes stemming from the state’s Medicaid Redesign Team initiatives.
We also welcome a new member to HCA’s Board: Lisa Greisler, a health care executive with over 25 years of senior management experience in the home health care industry. Greisler was appointed President of the VNA of Western NY in 2020 and has been responsible for accountable leadership, the strategic direction and operational performance of the VNA of Western NY and affiliate organizations such as the Family Pharmaceutical Services (a retail pharmacy).
We also extend appreciation and thanks to Sue Larman, President of the VNA of Albany, who has completed her term on the Board as an outstanding leader, voice and decision-maker for the field. Larman has been a member of the Board from 2013 to 2021, including a tenure as Chair from 2017 to 2019.
