HHS Posts Additional FAQs on Medicaid Provider Funding

Situation Report | July 13, 2020

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has posted updated Frequently Asked Questions about the Provider Relief Fund for Medicaid Providers

As previously reported, the funding ($15 billion nationally) is for providers who bill Medicaid fee-for-service and/or Medicaid managed care and meet other eligibility criteria.

Eligible providers can receive up to 2 percent of their reported gross revenue from patient care. The application deadline is July 20.

In June, HHS held two webinars on the Medicaid fund. The HHS webinars reviewed eligibility criteria, the web portal application process, and submitted questions.

Recordings of the webinars are at the links below (they each contain the same information).

Information on the program — including copies of the application and instructions, a web portal video, and other resources — is at www.hhs.gov/providerrelief

Last week, HCA also held a webinar on the Medicaid Provider Relief Fund. To obtain a recording, please contact HCA’s Director of Education Celisia Street at cstreet@hcanys.org.
