HHS Releases New Info on Phase 3 Provider Funds for Coronavirus Relief

Situation Report | October 13, 2020

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has posted new information about applying for recently announced phase 3 Provider Relief Funds (PRF) for coronavirus financial relief.

See here on “how to apply for phase 3 general distribution.”

As reported in an October 2 alert to HCA members, applications are being accepted from October 5 to November 6. HHS will hold a webcast on October 15; registration is here.

All providers eligible for a previous PRF distribution, plus new 2020 providers and behavioral health providers, may apply.

Providers may be eligible regardless of whether they were eligible for, applied for, received, accepted, or rejected payment from prior PRF distributions.

The updated information includes eligibility criteria, tax identification number validation, instructions about the application process and required attestations, and reporting on the use of funds.
