HHS Seeks Feedback on Continuation of Regulatory Relief

Situation Report | December 7, 2020

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has posted a Request for Information (RFI) seeking feedback on which COVID-19 regulatory flexibilities to continue.

It includes a list of 382 actions in which HHS made changes to numerous regulations, agency guidance materials, or compliance obligations, or announced enforcement discretion for the public health emergency (PHE).

HHS seeks feedback on which changes are beneficial or detrimental — and under what circumstances — as well as which changes should be discontinued immediately or maintained on the following bases: only for the duration of the PHE; for a limited period of time after the PHE expires; or on a permanent basis.

HCA will be submitting comments and encourages members to also do so. If you want to have your feedback incorporated into our comments, send them to Andrew Koski at akoski@hcanys.org.
