On June 3, KPMG, the state contractor for the new Home Care Cost Report, e-mailed login credentials for agencies to access the cost report web-based tool. The e-mail came from the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Agencies that did not get this message should check that it was not blocked by their e-mail filters. If agencies still cannot locate the message, they should send an e-mail to email@example.com. Agencies can also request that others in their agency or a consultant be given login credentials by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once logged in, providers should then complete the “Reporting Hierarchy and General Questionnaire” tab that will allow them to access the “Cost Report Schedules” tab containing the cost report schedules to complete. Further navigation instructions can be found on the “Instructions” tab of the tool.
As described in past Situation Report articles, the state Department of Health (DOH) and KPMG have launched a series of activities to educate providers on the new cost report. This includes: a statewide outreach session on June 2; web-based tool walk-through videos in early June; monthly statewide sessions from June to October; and an audit webinar in mid-August. The cost report is due October 31 and can be submitted earlier.
The new cost report is for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies, non-hospital based Certified Home Health Agencies, and Fiscal Intermediaries.
