As described in past editions of The Situation Report, DOH and KPMG have launched a series of activities to educate providers on the new cost report. These include: a statewide outreach session on June 2; web-based tool walk-through videos in early June; monthly statewide sessions from June to October; and an audit webinar in mid-August.

The cost report is due October 31 and can be submitted earlier.

The new cost report is for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies, non-hospital based Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), and Fiscal Intermediaries. The following providers are not required to complete the cost report:

  • Assisted Living Program (ALP) only agencies
  • Private pay only agencies
  • Hospital-based CHHAs
  • Private duty nursing only agencies

HCA, along with some members, has participated on a Home Care Cost Report Workgroup and worked with DOH on the development and rollout of this new cost report.
