July 13 Webinar on Major New OSHA Rule for COVID-19 Workplace Hazards

Situation Report | July 6, 2021

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has posted an Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) rule requiring employers to develop and implement a plan for identifying and controlling COVID-19 hazards in the workplace.

The expansive rule is going into effect very quickly. Some requirements must be met by July 6 and others by July 21.

Thankfully HCA has tapped an OSHA representative to walk through the new rule during anĀ upcoming webinar on July 13 from 2 to 3 p.m.

OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist Robert Coleman will also be joined by Emma McEvoy, Associate at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, to discuss the rule’s overall implications for community-based organizations.

McEvoy will specifically cover how the ETS intersects with state or local mandates and guidance, helping you parse which areas of the rule are already required of New York employers and which areas require new levels of compliance planning.
