May 28 Webinar Launch: Home Care Clinician Training on COVID-19 Testing

HCA and partners invite you to learn more about our exciting initiative to train home care clinicians on COVID-19 testing across New York State.

As noted in a press release sent on Tuesday, a grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation is supporting this statewide initiative led by HCA and partner organizations at the Iroquois Healthcare Alliance and Mohawk Valley Health System to train home care clinicians on COVID-19 testing procedures in the home care setting. The program is available to all home care and hospice organizations across New York State.

Home Health Care News reported last week that the program has promise as a “national roadmap.” It offers an opportunity to deliver testing-in-place for patients who are homebound or whose needs demand these capabilities in the home care setting. It also promises more timely test results for the protection of home care personnel.

To launch this effort, HCA and partners are holding an introductory webinar on May 28, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Please register for this complimentary webinar here and program access instructions will be sent to you upon registration. An archive will also be made available at a later date.

The webinar will provide important background and further information on how to enroll your organization’s clinicians in on-demand training where they’ll learn proper COVID-19 specimen collection procedures that can be conducted at home.
