The state Department of Health (DOH) has released the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) 2020 Cost Report Manual and 2020-21 Certified Cost Report Template.
The Cost Report Manual is here; the Cost Report Template is here in Excel format.
Calendar year filer cost reports are due back by April 30, 2021 while fiscal year filers are due October 31, 2021. Submissions must be on the Excel template, not a pdf, and sent in an unsecured/unencrypted e-mail. If necessary, you can password-protect the workbook and send the password to open it in a separate e-mail.
The manual contains the instructions for how to complete each schedule in the workbook. If you have questions or issues with the Excel template, you can send an e-mail to 1915CR@health.ny.gov for assistance.
All providers receiving Medicaid payments in any reporting year are required to submit a cost report to DOH.
If you’re a provider that received less than $100,000 in Medicaid payments for 2020-21 and in the past you’ve completed an abridged cost report, please e mail 1915CR@health.ny.gov for the template.
