NJ Hospital Association Taps HCA Perspective on COVID Home Care

HCA has tapped by the New Jersey State Hospital Association (NJHA) for its perspective on home care delivery amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

During a call-in conference with NJHA hospital members and public health officials on Thursday, HCA shared insights, challenges, best practices and home care’s progress on addressing medically vulnerable and COVID-positive patients in the pandemic.

HCA President Al Cardillo, Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) Senior Vice President Susan Northover, and VNSNY Vice President Sandy Merlino, who is also Vice-chair of HCA’s Board, teamed up to offer both a statewide and provider-specific perspective, addressing home care and hospital coordination, as well as the clinical, staffing, operational, regulatory, fiscal and overall systemic issues needing careful navigation in COVID-19.
