Situation Report | November 2, 2020

The U.S. Office of Inspector General (OIG) has updated its Work Plan to focus on Medicare telehealth program integrity risks during the COVID-19 pandemic, including provider billing patterns for telehealth services and key characteristics of providers that may pose a program integrity risk to the Medicare program. OIG will also audit Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) controls over Medicare provider compliance with the attestation, submitted-revenue-information, and quarterly use-of-funds reporting requirements for the $50 billion Provider Relief Fund.
