PHHPC Meeting Held

Situation Report | June 7, 2021

On June 3, the Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC) met and approved the following Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) and hospice applications:

  • One CHHA that serves Chemung, Steuben, Tioga and Cortland counties applied to expand to Tompkins and Cortland counties through a pilot Complex Care Collaboration Model under Public Health Law section 2805-X, which is New York’s Hospital-Homecare-Physician Collaboration law. HCA advanced the legislation that ultimately became this new provision of law.
  • Another CHHA requested to be established as the new operator of an existing CHHA that serves Nassau and Suffolk counties.
  • A hospice serving Niagara county requested approval to certify six additional residence beds for a total of 16 residence beds and 10 inpatient certified beds.
