Situation Report | June 7, 2021
On June 3, the Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC) met and approved the following Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) and hospice applications:
- One CHHA that serves Chemung, Steuben, Tioga and Cortland counties applied to expand to Tompkins and Cortland counties through a pilot Complex Care Collaboration Model under Public Health Law section 2805-X, which is New York’s Hospital-Homecare-Physician Collaboration law. HCA advanced the legislation that ultimately became this new provision of law.
- Another CHHA requested to be established as the new operator of an existing CHHA that serves Nassau and Suffolk counties.
- A hospice serving Niagara county requested approval to certify six additional residence beds for a total of 16 residence beds and 10 inpatient certified beds.
The next committee meetings will be held on July 15 while the next full PHHPC meeting is scheduled for July 29.
