U.S., England, Ireland Share Insights at International Home Care Conference

Situation Report | October 4, 2021

HCA joined with representatives from Ireland and England to share insights as part of an International Older Person’s Day conference hosted last Thursday by the Home and Community Care Association of Ireland (HCCI). Leading off the conference was HCCI President Joseph Musgrave, who shared his perspective on the status of home care in his country and his vision for the direction ahead. An array of compelling officials and commentators followed, speaking eloquently to home care’s value and critical mission ahead.

HCA’s President and CEO, Al Cardillo, was invited to provide the U.S./New York home care system perspective. Mr. Cardillo was greeted with particular interest in presenting to attendees how home care agencies in New York/U.S. are working in collaborative models with hospitals and physicians to provide care and improve the health care system.

HCA members can view the program and international home care perspectives here. The conference presentations begin at approximately 15.23 of the video link.

Stay tuned, as HCA and HCC Ireland will be planning further opportunities for joint member engagement and idea-sharing in the future.
