This presentation will discuss Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”) payment audits of home care providers, including a summary of key audit issues and findings.  Emerging trends in OMIG audits will be reviewed, including issues related to electronic health records, extrapolation, and the health care worker bonus program.  In addition, the presentation will highlight provider compliance program obligations, with an emphasis on best practices for preparing for an OMIG compliance program review.
