With unprecedented developments and urgencies in our field across the federal, state and industry landscape, HCA is adding substantial new levels in member engagement for input, guidance and advocacy.
As one of our planned steps, beginning in November, HCA will be expanding our Member Forums to monthly engagement sessions for critical and timely member updates and input to HCA. These sessions will be held for each specific HCA member type, open to all affiliated Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) and hospice members, and sculpted to an hour schedule. The Forums will offer policy and advocacy updates and a venue for peer exchange of ideas and strategic problem-solving specific to your program type.
With rapidly occurring developments and extremely high-stake issues, from the pandemic, to the workforce emergency, to billions in anticipated and being shaped this fall for enhanced Federal Medicaid for community based services, to the state’s new waiver plans, to major state Medicaid reforms still on the burner, to the upcoming 2022 state budget and state legislative session presenting great opportunities and vulnerabilities, to potentially $150-$190 billion in new Federal investment programming for home care under debate in Congress, to new Value Based Payment programing coming for CHHAs, LHCSAs, MLTCs and hospices, to new duals program in managed care, to financial fragility for providers and plans, and more, these monthly information, guidance and advocacy meetings will prove critical for HCA and the membership.
Members should strive for participation in each session, but of course we understand that member attendance will be as you are available, as month-to-month schedules permit.
Below are the Forum dates for November through January. To participate, please register by accessing the links below (a one time registration is for all three months in the series per member category). Members are encouraged to attend any and all as your schedule allows.
