The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is encouraging hospices to take advantage of the option to submit notices of election (NOE) through electronic data interchange (EDI).
Doing so reduces keying errors and makes it easier to export data from electronic medical records or software systems.
