The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has recently issued the July 2021 quarterly Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) frequently asked questions (FAQs).
The FAQs clarify issues related to assessment timeframes, conditions for a valid referral, look-back period for risk for hospitalization, wound assessment, and the medication intervention timeframe. CMS also responded to several questions related to the GG items for functional ability, self-care, and mobility.
