The state Department of Health (DOH) reminds providers that the final claim period will open for submission of employee Healthcare Worker Bonus (HWB) payments on April 1, 2024 and will end on May 1, 2024. This covers employees that worked during the period October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 and meet certain requirements. It is the last opportunity for providers to submit claims on behalf of their employees.
Providers should use the HWB Program Portal to submit claims on behalf of employees who qualify for bonus payments.
For more information on the HWB Program, visit the NYSDOH HWB Program webpage which also includes a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. The FAQs were updated February 16, 2024 to include the following new one:
- When can I expect payment for the submission period which ended on October 1, 2023?
- Payments for this submission period were released during the week ending February 2, 2024.
