Wednesday, May 22, 2024
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

HCA E&R is pleased to invite you to participate in our “Hospice Quality Reporting Program” Webinar Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its hospice proposed rule (CMS–1810-P) to update the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 (October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025) Medicare payment rates and the wage index for hospices serving Medicare beneficiaries. CMS estimates a 2.6% ($705 million) market basket increase in national hospice payments for FY 2025 over FY 2024. CMS also updates the Routine Home Care (RHC), Continuous Home Care (CHC), Inpatient Respite Care (IRC) and General Inpatient Care (GIC) hospice Medicare rates for FY 2025.

In addition to the market basket increase and payment updates, the rule contains proposed changes to the Quality Reporting Program (QRP) including changes to the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Hospice Survey and the new Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) assessment due to be implemented in October 2025.

In this webinar, hospice expert Diane Link will review the proposed changes and identify what your agency should be doing to prepare for the changes including tips on improving Hospice CAHPS survey returns and reviews.
