MLTC Disenrollment of Certain Nursing Home Residents Delayed

On March 19, the state Department of Health (DOH) informed Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans that it would be delaying the disenrollment of long term nursing home stay members from MLTC plans on May 1.

DOH is currently assessing new timeframes for implementing the three-month nursing home MLTC benefit for long term nursing home stay members and will provide updated information as soon as possible.

Under a 2018-19 state budget change, New York State will limit the nursing home benefit in MLTC plans to three months for enrollees who have been designated as “long-term nursing home stays” (LTNHS).
