According to the December 22 Frequently Asked Questions (Healthcare Worker Bonus Program FAQ (ny.gov)), those health care providers who submitted information during Vesting Period Two for healthcare worker bonuses should receive those funds via Medicaid payment cycle 2366 which is to be released on January 11.
Vesting period two covers the work period April 1 to September 30, 2022 and was extended to allow submissions by those who were unable to submit during Vesting period 1. The deadline for such submissions had been extended from October 31 to November 30.
As noted in many previous HCA communications, the state has taken the position – strenuously opposed by HCA – that home care aides are not eligible for bonuses due to their receiving an increase in the minimum wage rate. Nurses, therapists and other professional staff, however, may be eligible.
