NGS Provides Q&As on New Notice of Admission Process Effective January 1, 2022

Situation Report | November 29, 2021

National Government Services (NGS), New York’s principal Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for home health and hospice providers in New York, has been hosting regular education sessions to discuss the new Notice of Admission (NOA) process that will be replacing the current No-Pay Request for Anticipated Payment (RAP), beginning January 1, 2022.

Because there have been many great questions regarding the NOA implementation, NGS has compiled a new Question and Answer (Q&A) document to assist all Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs) better understand the new billing requirements in 2022.

The Q&A resource is now available via NGS’s website.

CHHAs can also find the NOA Q&As by selecting the Education dropdown on the NGS websitechoosing Medicare Topics, the Home Health Billing topic, and then Notice of Admission Questions and Answers.
