OSHA Launches National Emphasis Program for COVID-19

Situation Report | March 22, 2021

On March 12, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) launched a national program to focus OSHA’s COVID-19 enforcement efforts on hazardous conditions that put the largest number of workers at serious risk, and on employers that engage in retaliation against employees who complain about unsafe or unhealthful conditions.

HCA is in discussions with OSHA officials about OSHA holding a webinar for HCA to review this new initiative, its effect on home care providers, and what providers can do now to prepare for it.
